Star and Cross 6×6

The star and cross shape in 6×6, in four colors: S-100 White, S-101 Black, S-107 Terracotta and S-108 Navy. It is two pieces that lock together, an eight point star and a small cross that fills the gap between four stars, so the pattern comes from the outlines rather than from anything drawn on the face.

Mixing two colors, stars in one and crosses in the other, is what makes the geometry read; in a single color it almost disappears. It is one of the oldest tile layouts in the Andalusian and Moorish tradition and still the one that makes a small floor look considered. In stock in Laredo, Texas, shipping in 2 to 3 weeks, handmade in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, sold by the box.
