Moroccan cement tiles bring the geometry of zellige and Andalusian tilework to floors and walls: eight-point stars, lanterns, quatrefoils and interlaced strapwork that turns a simple grid into a lattice. Every tile in this collection is handmade encaustic cement, pressed and cured by hand at our factory in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, where our family has made tile since 1900. The pattern is pigmented cement pressed into the body of the tile, not a printed glaze, so it wears with the tile instead of wearing off.

Most designs are 8×8 in and sold by the box of 12 tiles (5.17 sq ft per box), and most are in stock at our warehouse in Laredo, Texas, with a typical delivery time of 2 to 3 weeks. Patterns marked special order take 4 to 6 weeks. Any pattern can also be made to order in your own colors from our palette of 64, so the same star can read as a quiet gray floor or a saturated blue-and-ochre wall. For a classic Moorish floor, look at the Star and Cross set, an 8 in star paired with a 6×6 cross.
